With the amendment in 'Consumer Protection Act 2019' the pecuniary jurisdiction of the Consumer Courts have been revised. Consequently nearly all medical matters would be at District commissions.

Dr. Sunil Khattri is the founding Managing Partner of the law firm Dr. Sunil Khattri & Associates. He has nearly forty years of experience in the fields of Medicine and Law. He is an alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College, Poona University from where he obtained MBBS and MS in General Surgery. He obtained his LLB from Delhi University.
Dr. Khattri has been a core care giver, held leadership roles in very large Super Specialty Hospitals in Delhi in the profit and not for profit sector. He has created large hospitals and a medical college in Delhi. As an expert in quality and process improvement Dr. Khattri has optimized hospitals in America.
Dr. Khattri was the founder Secretary of Delhi Medical Council and has lead several policy initiatives including the Delhi Model of Regulation which was well received by Delhi Govt. , Police Department, Courts of Law. This model was later accepted across the country. He was thereafter elected as member of management committee of International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities, Dallas, USA.
With his vast experience in Medicine and Law presently, Dr. Sunil Khattri is based out of Supreme Court of India and a practicing Advocate specializing in the field of Medical Negligence and Medico legal matters. Dr. Khattri is enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi and is a member of Supreme Court Bar association.
